Happy Mother's Day
What a great day it has been today, and I am not really sure that I want it to end. It was strange, I didn't go home this mother's day, I didn't spend it with family, it wasn't traditional in any sense at all. Normally this would have bothered me, but I spent it in Provo. I felt really good about it. I talked to a lot of people that I love and care about: my Mom, my sister, my brother, Danielle, Amie, Katie Ray, Melissa, and then left messages to others. It was great to hear how everyone is doing, to let people know that I love and care for them. They are amazing people, and inspiring to me. Not only this, but it was a great day at church, and I felt very pretty, that was nice, and had a great dinner (thanks to Jess who completed it with a GREAT salad with strawberries) of chicken cordon bleu with rice and cran-raspberry juice, and it was great. The day also was not incomplete without a little nap (or two) and some reading. It felt good, and have realized that I am happy and pleased with my life. Sometimes I wonder if I have been 20 for so long (some people think since I was born) that it is feels like I haven't progressed in a while, that I am stagnant here, and wonder what it is that I am to do with my life now, wonder how I am improving those around me, and how I am pleasing my Heavenly Father. But luckily I have people around me that inspire me. Jessica has been a great to help me realize where it is that I want to go in life. Abby has helped me keep my head on straight these past few months. And the past two days, after drilling about self motivation and who one truely is, I have come to a great peace with myself. I think it helped me to realize my place, and talking today with so many people that I care about, well, it made the day worth while. I wasn't home, it wasn't a usual holiday, but it was great.
I love you Mom, thank you for the example that you are to me, for the love which I feel from you. Your support, your guidance, your expectations thank you for them. Thank you for teaching me, thank you for being my friend. Thank you for not giving up on me, and for accepting my best effort. I don't know what I would do without you. I appreciate you for always having the best food around, for always making me and my friends feel welcome. Thank you for knitting our family together, for serving others, for your smile and the laughter which we have shared. Thank you for snuggling with me, even when I am way to big for that now. Thank you for always fixing my crisis and for knowing what questions to ask when. For giving me the freedom and trust which I needed, for teaching me the gospel, and mostly for your love. You are amazing, and I love you so much. Happy Mother's Day

SURVIVAL
I made it through the semester, I did. I have now completed all of my tests for Winter Semester 2008, AND I have also completed grading tests for work, which means that now I get to play and have fun for the rest of the week. any suggestions?
Looking back it has been a GREAT semester. Hard, but I had Melissa and Katie, and Jess and April to help get me through it. I don't think that I wasted very much of my time at all. I probably needed to spend a little bit more of it on gaining spiritual strength - I guess I'll work on that this next year. But our apartment has been great, and I have learned so much about myself. My family has substantially grown, that was exciting, and all is well. Now just off to a new semester of Spring term taking Physics 220 and American Heritage. I am slightly nervous for physics because I haven't actively used my calculus since I took it two years ago, but I guess it is good because it will get me set for the Fall when I have to take physical chemistry, which I know is Calculus based :S I am excited though. I bought my books today and started going through some of it to help get me ready for the class. So onto another month and a half, I'm ready.

answers
do you like to go to museums? yes - especially when I have unlimited time, because then I can look at things in detail and get excited over stupid little things.
Do you like roller coasters? yes, especially with Hilarie and Abby and Stacy while skipping out on awards :) man those were good days
How do you eat bananas? regular like - peel it, take a bite..... hahaha, I feel dumb, but I guess I use them in banana bread too, and in smoothies
What kind of soap do you use? - lever 2000 is my favorite, it doesn't leave a scum, or leave me feeling slimy still
Have you ever been in a car accident? - unfortunately, the first one I remember I was hanging upside down and finishing singing "I am a child of God" with my Mom on our way to Canada. Another one I remember.... well, it wasn't an accident but being pulled over was with Joanna and Doug coming home from Canada one year, another was while my Mom and I were in Georgia with Joanna and Doug going to the airport, it was weird, memories, wow. The one in Montana with Abby was pretty funny too, along with the bird that I hit on that drive home.... do flat tires count as an 'accident': if so I remember getting my first flat tire, I was driving a student driver's vehicle from the school first thing in the morning and we were on Wasatch and poof, got a flat tire, but wait that isn't the only one of those that I have been in the vehicle when it happened. One with Mason coming home from Timp caves Homecoming date, and another in Joey's car on our way home from listening to General Conference together. And I guess the REAL question that you were asking was any accidents that I have been in that have been my 'fault' and I guess there was one, but I don't think that it should really count because I was going less than 15 mph, but it was snowing and I was turning and was on the phone to Joey coming home from a Madrigal reunion thing, and went over a fire hydrant..... oops. And I guess I got a ticket for it so technically it counts, so there you go.
What is your favorite color? pink. baby pink. it is so precious
Do you have any scars? - can I COUNT how many I have, oh so many. scars from my sister and I scratching each other when we were little, scars from falling, from picking, from chicken pox that never go away - ever. yes, but that is alright, I like looking at my pie and africa
Did you always dream of going to BYU? - I never really dreamed of going anywhere, but I am glad that I have ended up here. It is trying me and is good for me. I've met amazing roommates that I otherwise would never have known. It is good.
Do have any pet peeves? - LITTERING. It is disgusting and wrong and I despise it. That would probably be my number one thing, I also don't really like when you push down the wrong bubble thing on the lids of drinks - it is silly I know but I don't really like the inconsistency. What else... well, I don't like it when my room is messy - messy with my own stuff, that is bothersome because I should just fix it
