Physics

I walk into my first Physics course at college, and I notice that there are only three other girls in the room... kinda daunting. As more people trickle into class the total goes up from 4 to 7, but I am DEFINITELY outnumbered, it isn't a 16 people class. (There has to be at least 40 guys in there) Well, then Dr. Allred comes in (apparently I have had a conversation with him at Julia's wedding, but did not know this until I talked with Dad tonight at dinner), throws us our syllybi and tells us that for the majority of the time that Dr. Mills will be teaching us, but that he is still the instructor. Well, there you go. So our lecture is given, it is very engaging, but VERY simplistic, yet the course material is all based on calculus.... I hope that it comes back quickly. As I am reading the material for the course calculus reasoning slowly creeps into mind, but it is more that I don't remember everything that I know I should know (I guess: the more you know the more you know you don't know) and here I am not wanting to start my homework, but knowing that I should.

at lease it's a shortened semester because of summer. Good luck!

I feel your pain! That was exactly what happened to me in my physics summer course. The worst was when I'd finally give up half way through the lecture because the instructor lost me with the 3rd integral of some equation! (later finding out there was a much simpler way to do it, not my most organized professor). Advice: Keep that calculus book next to you it will become your best friend!
Have FUN!
